About Us
Hello, my name is Drew Collins. I am 13 years old and my dad and I started a small plant nursery about 4 years ago in our backyard. Since our first sale in 2019, we have grown more than we ever expected. Our selection of flowering perennials, shrubs and trees has grown to almost 200 different types, and we have expanded our nursery to include 2 offsite locations to grow our plants. We used to have our sales in our backyard, but we had to move to a bigger location to handle the crowd and increased number of plants. Our neighborhood has a 7 acre park behind our house. We now host our annual Spring and Fall sale at Jenkins park.
My dad is a horticulturist and has been teaching me a lot about how to grow and care for plants. I really like working outside and enjoy learning about plants. I started this nursery because I wanted to save money for more plants and to start saving money for a truck when I am older so I can keep growing the nursery. Thanks to your support, I have now earned enough money to buy a used truck when I turn 16. All future sales will be for my college education. I hope to save enough money from the sale’s to pay for my college education. If you are interested in buying some perennial plants, please plan to visit my next plant sale. Many of these plants can’t be found in big box stores or even many nurseries. Many of these plants are native to GA and are very good nectar sources for native bees and host plants for butterflies.
Thank you,
Drew
